Highland Bible Tabernacle is a non-denominational congregation that has been gathering in Ashe County, North Carolina since 1979.  We believe that the Bible is God’s infallible Word and our absolute and should supersede all doctrine, church tradition or theology of man.

It is our desire to see individuals born again by the Spirit of God and their character molded into the image of Christ.  We believe this requires the continual moving of the Spirit with the revealing of the Word of God in each person’s life.

Titus 3:5
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

We believe as Jesus stated in John the 8^th chapter, that to be His disciples we must continue in the Word and by so doing the knowledge of the Truth will make us free.

John 8:31-32
31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, [then] are ye my disciples indeed;
32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
